Mrs’H has been an excellent tutor for me. She’s funny and I learn a lot of techniques that I can use in school and for exams. We do practice based off of GCSE test papers and texts, she’s really funny and pushes me to get far ahead of the school curriculum. I enjoy being taught by her, I’ve made so much progress on school because of it and got the top marks in my class. The test was based on very similar things that we’ve been learning.

Mrs’H is more than just a tutor—she is a mentor who genuinely cares about her students’ success. Her passion for teaching, patience, and ability to bring out the best in her students make her truly exceptional. Mrs’H is an absolutely phenomenal English tutor who played a crucial role in my academic success. Thanks to her expert guidance, I achieved a Grade 8 in both English Language and English Literature—something I could not have done without her dedication and support.

One of the things that set Mrs’H apart was her in-depth knowledge of the OCR specification. She knew the exam inside out and had an exceptional understanding of the core set texts, including Macbeth, War of the Worlds, and Never Let Me Go. Her ability to break down complex literary themes and characters made these texts far more approachable, and she taught me to analyse them with ease. By focusing on key structural and language techniques, she transformed the way I engaged with literature, allowing me to develop well-crafted, insightful responses.

Beyond literature analysis, Mrs’H also revolutionised my writing skills. The skills she instilled in me proved invaluable during A-levels and have remained with me throughout my journey as a medical student, where clear and effective communication is essential.

I had the privilege of being taught by Mrs’H, and her guidance played a significant role in my success during my GCSEs. English had always been one of my weaker subjects, but Mrs’H helped me unlock my creativity and develop crucial skills such as analysing texts and structuring essays. I was also able to apply these skills to other essay-based subjects like History.

Mrs’H is an excellent tutor, she has really helped my son gain confidence in English, she’s taught him lots of skills which he has found very useful at school. He comes out of his lesson beaming because Aneesa makes learning fun.

The goal of a teacher shouldn’t be to spoon-feed information—they should equip you with the tools and advice to succeed independently, and Mrs’H did exactly that. Her teaching has had a lasting impact on my academic journey, and I’m truly grateful for her support.
